The pump shed has been designed to service the whole property and plumbed with galvanized steel piping to withstand high pressure including a ‘quick release valve’ so water can safely escape should a fault occur. The design allows a second pump to be installed for a larger volume of water to be pumped. Electrical wires are already in place.
As with the water, power has been developed to the highest standard and the farm is supplied by a 50KVA transformer utilizing 3 phase power.
The supply is underground and currently services the pump shed, main shed and the pressure pump on the water tank. The cable used is of high capacity that provides a full (no voltage drop) supply.
The water tank supply cable is of sufficient capacity to supply a house adjacent (across the road) on a site levelled for a manager’s house, (no need to re-do power cables).
The design provides for the supply cable to be extended from the main shed to the top of the property, supplying ample power for a large house or 9 cottages. Circuit boards are all RCD protected. Power also runs along the road and ends at the bridge.
